- Nutritious Food
As per the American Pregnancy Association (APA), diet after child birth should be full of vitamins, minerals, and fibers. Diet should contain 60% fruits and vegetables and should be rich in anti-oxidants. Fruits like strawberries, cherries, plums, oranges, and grapes are suitable to control hair loss. Vegetables should include spinach, broccoli, peas, and soya. Diet without a long gap works well. Drink warm water after 45 minutes of a meal.
The curd is the finest natural conditioner for hair fall. It improves the hair quality and prevents hair loss at the extreme stage. The procedure includes:
- Make a thick paste of curd
- Apply it thoroughly on the head
- Leave the paste as it is for about 15 minutes
- Wash with head with little warm water
Follow this technique 3 days a week for better results.
- Indian Gooseberry
Indian gooseberry or Amla is very popular for treating hair loss. It is officially recommended by many doctors. You can consume Amla in many ways like you can eat Amla in the salad or you can drink Amla juice (available in market). You can also apply Amla paste on your scalp, which is obtained by deeply boiling Amla and oil. Drinking Amla juice regularly has many other health benefits like:

Stir the paste well and apply it to the hair roots thoroughly. Keep the paste as it is for half an hour. Wash your head with lukewarm water. Do this twice a week for strong and shiner hair.
- Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera can be used in the form of a gel, which is readily available nowadays. You can also use a combination of aloe vera and milk, which is better for hair growth after childbirth. Apply aloe vera gel deeply to your hair roots and rinse your hair after 15-20 minutes. This tonic is quite effective in making your hair black and free of dandruff.
- Fenugreek Seeds

Also known as Methi in Hindi. These natural herbs are very useful and they are locally and cheaply available everywhere. The process of using it is also very simple. You just have to soak fenugreek seeds in water at night and in next morning, apply that water on your scalp portion carefully and steadily. This simple herb tonic can remove the problem of dry hair. Use this technique twice a week for good results.
- Dry Fruits
Eat enough dry fruits in your diet. Dry fruits are rich in healthy fats, fibers, and omega-3. Example of good dry fruits includes:
- Cashew nuts
- Cantaloupe seeds
Eating a handful of dry fruits every day leads to decent hair growth.
- Onion Juice

Chop the onion and extract its juice. Dip a cotton piece in the juice and apply it straight on your scalp. Make sure that scalp roots are deeply covered. Wash off the hair after 30 minutes and do shampoo normally. You can also mix rosewater, honey or coconut oil with onion juice for healthier results.
- Coriander Juice
Take some coriander leaves (धनिया) and chop them in a mixer. Add some water to the paste, and stir it well. Apply the paste on your head with the help of dye brush. Leave it for next 1 hour and wash the hair with a good shampoo. Do this thrice a week.
